Local Ministry Team
The Archbishop of Wales is keen to explore the ministry of all God's people. God has given us all gifts but so often we fail to be aware of them or use them. As a PCC we have agreed to set up a number of Areas of Ministry within which we will be able to develop our gifts. These will be lead by coordinators who, together with the Parish Priest, will form a Local Ministry Development Team. The coordinators will work with others in order to help us all become more fully involved in Church life. We have decided in particular to look at:
1. Growing Younger. How can we make Church more "Child, Youth
and family Friendly"? How can we better equip young Christians for their Christian journey? How can we reach non Church going young people in our area?
2. World Mission. How can we better coordinate the separate
things we already do as a Parish for others, and raise their profile
so more are involved. Are their new areas God wants us involved in?
3. Pastoral Care. How can we offer equal, good care to all our
members?
4. Evangelism. How we reach the non church goers in our area and
introduce them to Jesus?
5. Worship. How can we offer diversity and the best possible
worship to all?
Worship Development Team
We've asked 5 people to coordinate the 6 styles of worship in
the Parish in order to develop these areas, and encourage others
in ministry in there areas.
